The Classic Partners LLP
Informational & Investor Services
Companies have duties towards their investors and the Investor Education and Protection Fund, while businesses often need reliable company information for decisions. We handle IEPF compliance, investor refunds, and company information and search reports.
Talk to an ExpertWhat are Informational & Investor Services?
These services cover two related needs. The first is investor compliance: meeting a company's duties towards its shareholders and the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF), including unpaid dividends and shares that must be transferred to the fund. The second is informational: obtaining accurate company data, search reports, and documents for due diligence and decisions.
We manage the IEPF filings, help investors claim refunds, and prepare company information reports, working alongside your wider compliance services and annual filings.
IEPF Compliance & Investor Refunds
Under Section 125 of the Companies Act, 2013, dividends that remain unpaid or unclaimed for seven years, along with the underlying shares, must be transferred to the IEPF. Companies file Form IEPF-1 for amounts credited, IEPF-2 for the statement of unclaimed amounts, and IEPF-4 for shares transferred. Investors claim a refund of their shares and amounts through Form IEPF-5.
We help companies meet their IEPF obligations and help investors recover shares and dividends from the fund.
Company Information & Search Reports
Lenders, investors, and businesses often need verified information about a company before they act. We prepare company master-data reports, search reports, and document sets sourced from MCA records, and we obtain certified copies of filings where needed.
These reports support due diligence, credit decisions, litigation, and onboarding of new business partners.
