What is Board Meeting?

A Board Meeting is a formal meeting of a company's directors to take decisions on management and policy matters. Under Section 173, the first Board Meeting must be held within thirty days of incorporation, and thereafter a minimum number of meetings must be held each year.

For most companies at least four Board Meetings are required in a year, with the gap between two consecutive meetings not exceeding one hundred and twenty days, subject to relaxations for certain companies.
